TASER Performance Power Magazine — Specs and Compatibility
- TASER X1 compatibility: Approximately 500 five-second trigger-initiated firings
- TASER X26P compatibility: Approximately 500 five-second trigger-initiated firings
- TASER X2 compatibility: Approximately 250 five-second ARC switch-initiated firings
- Type: Lithium energy cell — non-rechargeable, replace when depleted
- Official Axon part: Same battery included with X1, X26P, and X2 devices at purchase
| Device | Firing Capacity | Cycle Type |
|---|---|---|
| TASER X1 | ~500 firings | 5-second trigger-initiated |
| TASER X26P | ~500 firings | 5-second trigger-initiated |
| TASER X2 | ~250 firings | 5-second ARC switch-initiated |
Keep a spare on hand. When the battery is depleted the device requires a replacement to function — there is no rechargeable option for these models. Replacement cartridges for the X1 are also available separately.
Does this battery fit the TASER X26 and X26P?
Yes — this Performance Power Magazine is compatible with the X26P. The original X26 (not X26P) uses a different battery configuration. If you have an X26P — the updated civilian and law enforcement version — this is the correct replacement battery. If you are unsure which model you have, check the model designation printed on the device itself. The X26P will display "X26P" on the housing.
Why does the X2 get fewer firings from the same battery?
The X2 uses an ARC switch-initiated cycle rather than a trigger-initiated cycle, which draws power differently. The same physical battery delivers approximately 250 firings in the X2 versus 500 in the X1 and X26P due to this difference in how each device activates the electrical discharge. If you use the X2, factor in the lower firing capacity when deciding how many spare batteries to keep on hand.
