Advantages
Small, can keep in pocket on your wrist. Has a PIN in it that will come out if someone grabs the stun gun from you, but not having the pin in makes it inactive! So it is also safe in a secure spot, but around your family. I feel safer having it on me in this crazy world!
Disadvantages
Bad person has to be physically close to you to use it. But you can scare them w bright light & shooting the stun gun for 1 second in the air.
