TASER Pulse Battery Specs
- Compatibility: TASER Pulse and TASER Pulse 2 only — not compatible with TASER Pulse+
- Voltage: 6V lithium
- Firing capacity: Approximately 50 firings at 30-second cycles
- Type: Non-rechargeable — replace when depleted
- Battery status indicator: Green (good), Yellow (30–85% charge remaining — still good), Red (low — replace)
On average the battery lasts approximately one year before needing replacement, though storage conditions and usage frequency affect actual life. Keeping a spare on hand ensures your device is always ready.
What do the battery indicator light colors mean?
The TASER Pulse has a battery status check button on the back of the device. Green means the battery is in good condition. Yellow means the battery is still good but has 30–85% charge remaining — no immediate action needed. Red means the battery is low and should be replaced before relying on the device for self-defense. A new battery may show yellow rather than green — this is normal behavior for the lithium cell chemistry, not a sign of a defective or partially used battery.
How do I remove the TASER Pulse battery?
The battery can be difficult to remove on first attempt. Tap the device firmly on the palm of your hand to dislodge the battery pack before attempting to pull it out. Once loose, disconnect the wire connector and the replacement battery fits right in.
What is the voltage of the TASER Pulse battery?
The TASER Pulse replacement battery is a 6V / 8.82 Wh lithium pack — these specs are printed on the battery label. Note that 6V is the battery supply voltage — the TASER Pulse 2 device itself outputs up to 50,000 volts through its internal circuitry when fired. The battery is engineered in the USA and assembled in Taiwan.
