A magnetic sensor triggers a 105 dB siren the moment a door or window is opened — and only the deactivation key can silence it. That key stays with you. Without it, the alarm keeps sounding until the door or window is closed again. Stick-on adhesive mount, no tools, no wiring, batteries included and ready to use.

Door and Window Alarm Features and Specs

  • 105 dB siren: Loud enough to be heard throughout the house — comparable to a smoke alarm
  • Deactivation key: Only the key silences the alarm — a teenager cannot disable it without it
  • Magnetic sensor: Triggers instantly when door or window separates from the frame
  • Adhesive mount: Stick-on installation, no tools or wiring required
  • Compact size: 2.5" x 1.5" x 0.5" (3" with key inserted) — unobtrusive on any frame
  • Batteries included: Three LR44 button cell batteries pre-included
  • 1-year warranty

Works on bedroom windows, front doors, sliding glass doors, RV doors, dorm rooms, and hotel rooms. Also useful inside the home on gun cabinets or medicine cabinets — the magnetic sensor works on any door or drawer that opens.

For extra security, glue the battery compartment shut after installing. This prevents the alarm from being disabled by removing the batteries.

Will this stop a teenager from sneaking out?

It's an effective deterrent. The 105 dB alarm goes off the moment the window or door opens — loud enough to wake a sleeping household. The deactivation key is the critical feature here: without it, there's no way to open the window quietly. A teenager who knows the alarm is installed and that you hold the only key has no silent exit. Mount it on bedroom windows and any exterior door they could access. For determined teens, combining this with a door alarm on their bedroom door gives you two points of detection.

How does the deactivation key work?

The deactivation key is a small physical key that inserts into the alarm unit. When inserted before opening, it suppresses the alarm so you can open the door or window normally. Remove the key and the alarm is active again. The alarm sounds until the key is inserted or the door or window is closed — there is no way to silence it without the key. Keep the key somewhere your child cannot access it.
