shurikens were a hallmark of the Japanese Ninja.
Some martial artists still train with these. And for many, it
is a sport similar to knife throwing.

make a contest out of seeing who can stick the star into the smallest grouping
or see who can hit center of the target most consistently. Some of the professional
throwing stars even have removable weights so you can experiment with the weight
