When you mention the words “pepper sprays” most people think of Mace brand and for very good reason. Mace brand is not only been around for a long time but they continue to be the number one selling pepper spray brand in the world. They go to extraordinary lengths to test their products before they are sold. No one else does.
Did you know that they test each pepper spray for leaks before its packaged? Nobody else does that! That testing is your guarantee that the product will work the first time and every time.
One of their more popular products is the Mace Pepper Gun. It has a unique dispensing system that allows you to shoot from any angle, even upside down. The “bag in a can” technology holds enough OC 10% solution for seven 25 foot shots-the longest range of any self defense product. That allows you to defend yourself against multiple attackers. Many customers like it as a self defense against dog attacks too because of the extra range it has.

Pink Pretender Stun Gun Not all self defense products look like you think they may look. The most popular ones are ones that are disguised as other products. The whole idea is to give you a tactical advantage in an assault situation and turn the tables on the assailant by using a disguised product. He has no idea he’s about to be put down by a stun gun that looks like a cell phone or flashlight or a pepper spray that looks like a lipstick dispenser.
One of the most popular is the Pretender Stun Gun. The reason it is called the “Pretender” is because it only pretends to be a camera cell phone. It is a powerful 4.5 million volt stun gun that can put an assailant down with a 3 to 5 second application to his body.
Sometimes the flying sparks from the two probes on the and or the intimidating sound that a stun gun makes once it is charged up, is enough to scare an assailant away. If not, he will suffer the consequences and be disabled for 5 to 10 minutes allowing you time to seek help.
Please look at all of our other Cell Phone Stun Guns. One of them may be perfect for you.

Pepper spray may seem to be a very simple product but it can really save lives! It can be a reliable self defense against bears, dogs and human attackers. Though pepper spray cannot kill anyone, it can stop the attacker through burning their whole face. The active ingredient, oleoresin capsicum or simply termed chile pepper can irritate the eyes, nose, throat and skin. The eyes can swell up and shut thus making the attacker temporarily blind. The irritation on the mucous membrane can make the attacker choke and cough. The irritation can last several minutes thus allowing the victim to get away.
Although using pepper spray does not require permits and it can be as easy as 1, 2, 3, some general tips will come handy especially for those who will acquire it for the first time. This article will give you some practical tips in using pepper sprays.
1.Hold your peeper spray right side up. Similar to a hairspray which will not work if you’re holding it upside down, your pepper spray will not also work on this angle. Practice your aim. On actual usage, make sure that you spray it directly on the assailant’s eyes and dodge away if you can to avoid being sprayed yourself. If you caught some mists, you can use baking soda paste, honey, sour cream or milk as antidotes.
2.It is not recommended to use your pepper spray if it’s windy. It will not advisable particularly when the wind is blowing on your direction since you may get sprayed back.
3.There are many types of pepper sprays and you can choose from gels, aerosols, foggers, and streams. But the best pepper spray to get maybe the Pepper Foam. This spray works best because it is very thick and sticky it can saturate the face of the attacker. Similar to all the pepper sprays, Pepper Foam come with identifying UV dye which can be evidence and identify the attacker.
4.Examine the pepper spray before buying it. Look for one that has a higher can pressure to have an effective spray. The best pressure range is 100psi. The can color is also essential since it can add surprise; choose navy blue, dark green or black. The spray nozzle and valves should also be looked upon. Choose a forced cone nozzle since this can facilitate a forceful spray pattern but what comes out is a fine mist. Last important feature is the shelf life, a common pepper spray will last 3 to 4 years.
5.Since pepper sprays have a lot of shapes and sizes, you may pick one which is unnoticeable. You may acquire pepper sprays with holsters molded into a pen, ring, pager, key chains and even lipsticks!
Presence of mind will always be the best defense on horrifying times where there are attackers. The use of pepper spray only makes it easier to get rid of any assailants. You can effectively use your pepper spray with the practical tips above. Follow these 5 tips and save your life now!

It’s sobering fact but it’s fact nevertheless about 75% of the serial killers in the world live in the United States. Europe follows a far second, having only 17%. Ninety percent of serial killers are men and nearly 85% of them are Caucasian. Most serial killers commit their first crime at a young age, usually in their teens or 20s and majority of their victims are white females. Does the statistics scare you enough? It should. Serial killers are clever, merciless and brutal. However, you don’t have to become a victim yourself. There are self-defense products that may help ward them off. Here are some you might want to consider:

Lipstick pepper spray
Serial killers work using a modus operandi. They have a particular style and preference in terms of attack and type of victim. Regardless, you could still help ward off physical harm by using a tiny gadget: the lipstick pepper spray. Lipstick pepper sprays resemble an ordinary lipstick case but hidden inside the tube is several seconds’ worth of blinding, irritating pepper spray, enough to stop a full-grown man and render him helpless.
Lipstick pepper sprays are great choices for women and young girls. They are easy to conceal and use. If you’re scared of serial killers and would rather have a self-defense product that you can carry any time, the lipstick pepper spray is a good choice.
Portable alarms
Most serial killers will attack their victims when they are most vulnerable when they are alone, far from home, can’t get immediate help or can’t fight back. Even if a serial killer has already chosen you as his victim, you can still ward them off by using a portable alarm.
A portable alarm is not a weapon per se but it is a self-defense product. When activated (usually through a switch or a button), a portable alarm will give off a loud noise, enough to wake up the neighbors, draw attention to yourself and your attacker AND scare them off. Portable alarms are quite effective to use against serial killers because they generally do not like being challenged. Why make yourself an easy target when a portable alarm can save your life?
Kubotan, brass knuckles or batons
If you’re physically fit and able to defend yourself, there is no reason why you should be scared of serial killers. They should be scared of you. Weapons such as the kubotan, brass knuckles or batons can stop and disable an attacker effectively. If you can use them to target the weak points of the body, you will be able to ward off serial killers and keep yourself safe.

A good thing to remember about self-defense is to always find a way to get yourself at an advantage over your attacker. An attacker’s goal is to harm you, either by stealing something from you or hurting you physically. During an attack, it could be quite difficult to position yourself in a manner wherein you can defend yourself. At close combat, stopping an attacker can be a challenge. By using a pen knife, you could protect yourself from physical harm and stop your attacker effectively. Here are tips for using pen knives as self-defense products:
Know which end is which
Pen knives are designed to be concealed, which is why they are cleverly disguised as regular pens. The first time you bring a pen knife home, examine it carefully. The blade is usually located on the upper end & the tip you use for writing. The handle is the other end.
Familiarize yourself with how the pen feels in your hand. You should be able to tell which end is the handle and which end holds the blade without even looking at the pen. This will ensure that you will know exactly how to hold the pen knife in case of an emergency.
Always carry the pen knife
The key to using pen knives as effective self-defense products is to be able to access it immediately. In cases of attack, you’ll usually have only seconds to spare. You should be able to use these precious moments in getting the pen knife, opening it and using it against your attacker.
When traveling, driving or walking, keep the pen knife close to the body. Slip it into your front or back pocket or keep it in your shirt pocket. If carrying a purse, make sure the pen knife is close to the opening so you can access it immediately. If you have to dig in your bag to get it, you’ll be placed at a huge disadvantage in just a short time.
Know the different types of attack using pen knives
The more comfortable you are holding your pen knife, the more effective you’ll be. Make sure to practice holding, opening and using your pen knife in your home. Practice different styles of thrusts or knife attacks.
Stabbing an opponent, for example, is an action that can be done as an overhand or underhand attack, depending on your current position and available opportunity. If you know how to use your pen knife efficiently, the more likely you’ll be successful in defending yourself and the least likely you’ll injure yourself.
Use the pen knife responsibly
Remember that pen knives may be self-defense products but they can be lethal weapons as well. Use them only if you truly have to.

Don’t get me wrong. Using a pepper spray isn’t like rocket science but when you’re panicking, under threat, and you’re not the most graceful person in the world, a lot of things could go wrong. You could end up disarming yourself instead of your attacker.
Here are a few tips to ensure that it’s your attacker “and not yourself” that will be in danger from your pepper spray.
Understand How Your Pepper Spray Works
Different types of pepper spray work differently; if you want to disarm your attacker in just one shot, the first thing you have to do is to familiarize yourself with how your pepper spray works. Then you can start practice your aim!
Broken-Stream Pepper Spray
The main disadvantage of broken-stream pepper sprays is its comparatively short lifespan. Each squeeze or press will release a strong jet of pepper spray solution, which means you’ll run out of “ammunition” more quickly than usual.
The good news: you don’t need to be an accurate shooter when using this type of pepper spray. Think water guns. With a broken-stream pepper spray, one shot may be all it takes to completely disarm your attacker. But if you’re still worried about your aim, you can always use the “fan”shooting technique and spray from left to right, ensuring that wherever your attacker will come from, you’ll get him good.
Foam Pepper Spray
Now, we get to foam pepper sprays. Windy days make it generally hard for people to use pepper sprays because there’s always a chance that your weapon will backfire on you. But that’s not going to happen if you’re using foam pepper sprays. More importantly, it’s sticky and if your attacker tries to wipe it away, he’ll only end up spreading the foam and causing himself greater pain!
Fogger Pepper Spray
Unlike foam pepper sprays, there’s a slight chance your spray could be blown back and hit you instead during strong winds. But unlike foam pepper sprays, it can be used against multiple attackers; just use the “fan” technique!
Forced Cone Pepper Spray
For general purposes, a forced cone pepper spray is the best for your needs. Its spray pattern can work up to a distance of eight to twelve feet and 2 feet in terms of width. Because forced cone pepper sprays emit a fine spray, they are less likely to blow back and hurt you during strong winds. Fine sprays, however, also means you have to work with a limited margin of error. So work on your aim and remember: practice makes perfect!
