What A Store Manager Learned The Hard Way

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010

What is the one thing that criminal is looking for? Opportunity. They don’t want to get tangled up in a messy show of their ignorance so they look for the easy targets.

Taser M26CA store manager in Chantilly, VA was that easy target in the very nature of business alone: check cashing, lottery, money order and wire services. Money is motivation for a robbery and that’s just what three men took advantage of.

The mastermind behind the crime convinced his online girlfriend to purchase a Taser with her credit card and have it shipped to her address. She in turn shipped it to this brilliant man who thought it couldn’t be traced that way, ha!

So the three stooges plan to knock off the Prime Mart and make off with as much cash as they could carry. The mastermind stayed back, but in contact with dumb and dumber by telephone. They run into the store, tie up the store manager who was alone and demand money. When the manager hesitated he got a nice wake-up call from 50,000 volts of electricity emitted by the Advanced Taser M18, now know as the M26. He was shocked 2 more times until he gave up over $30,000.

Now, before dumb and dumber stunned the manager they had to call their mastermind and ask how to use the Taser…ha. Don’t you know if I were running an establishment moving that kind of money, I would already have my Taser out and unleashed on both of these clowns.

I’ll say it now and I’ll say it again…get yourself prepared. Don’t get caught in a situation that could have been prevented or at least handled in a matter of 30 seconds if you just would have been prepared.

Whether you own a business or not, you need to be protected. You can check out Taser selection and other self defense products at our web site www.tbotech.com

Computer Monitoring Software

Saturday, April 17th, 2010

Even though the Internet has been around for a while, a lot of people aren’t fully aware of the potential dangers and the type of information that’s just a mouse click away. And that’s the frightening part…a lot of parents don’t even know what they don’t know.

Computer Montioring SoftwareChildren and teenagers are allowed access to computers and the Internet and often know more about their way around cyber space than their parents or guardian. Parents often think this virtual world is harmless because it’s not really-real. That is absolutely not true. It’s a very real environment, used by all types of people who can pretend to be anyone they want to be.

Social networking site are places online where people can meet and network with other people. There all types of web sites from business to dating to recreational sites, etc. Users of these have their own profiles where they can connect and interact with other users. They are wonderful for keeping in contact with old friends or distant family but there are also dangers because you are now exposed to complete strangers.

Below are safety tips for making your family’s social networking life safer:

- Understand how different web sites work before deciding to create a profile. Some sites only allow your selected friends to interact, others allow everyone and some sites have options to switch between public (everyone), private (only friend you select) and semi-private (friends of friends you select).
- Never post too much information about yourself especially confidential information like your Social Security Number, address, phone number, etc. And be cautious about posting information that could help people locate you such as your school, club, job, etc.
- Make sure your screen name isn’t too revealing either. Combining your name, age, birthday or hometown can help someone figure out who you are. It doesn’t take a genius.
- Consider what you’re posting online and post only what you are comfortable with people seeing and knowing about you. Many people can easily find your information such as teachers, parents, police, colleges or jobs you may be applying for.
- Remember that once you post something online, you can’t undo it. You can delete it but older versions of the same sites can exist on other people’s computers.
- Carefully consider photos you decide to share with the world. You can limit access to your photos to your friends only and not strangers.
- Flirting online with strangers can be very dangerous because anyone can lie about who they are.
- If you are ever threatened by anyone online, tell an adult, the police and the social networking site. You could prevent someone else from becoming a victim.

Parents, if your children are using these sites, make sure you stay involved. You may even consider joining the site and becoming their friend online. It’s a great way to keep up with who your child is talking to. Monitor what they’re talking about, who they talk to and information they are sharing with the world.

Another way to monitor your child’s activity online is through a computer activity tracking software like the Intellispy. This software gives you the ability to track what your child does every time they get on the computer. You have a right to know and to protect your child. Features: – Key Logging: see everything typed onto the keyboard…this includes emails, instant messages, social networking activity – Screenshots: see snapshots of the screen taken at 1 minute intervals – Block web sites: limit access to web sites that you feel are inappropriate for your child.

Is fishoil helpful?

Here’s an email I got. I get one email a day or so from this Dr. This one was good enough to share. (this is not my email)

Yesterday, I became aware of a hot new diet program called “AFD.”
Now, I don’t need it, because I’ve already lost 60 pounds the old fashioned way, by putting less food in my mouth than I used to, getting some daily exercise, and taking some of my own brand of supplements.

But you need not worry about these things yourself, because the new AFD Diet works, even if you don’t follow it. And what could be easier than that? (Hefting Jello shooters might come to mind.) This new diet is simply too good to be true.

In Week 1, you get to drench all your food in butter…or pork fat.
It doesn’t matter what it is…it could be Cheeto’s dunked in pork fat…or an Elvis sandwich dunked in butter.

Now y’all remember the Elvis. It was a whole loaf of pullman bread, filled with peanut butter and jelly and then stuffed with a pound of bacon, which was then fried on the grill, on all sides, in butter.
Elvis once flew his entire entourage to Denver, picked up 50 of the sandwiches and then flew back to Graceland.

In Week 2, you get giant pancakes and sausage biscuits, with any kind of hash you like, and they serve it on huge platters, with donuts to mop up everything. You can drink Cokes till the cows come home and there are candy bars to keep your energy levels up all the time.

In Week 3, you get Pizza any time you like and it’s none of that thin style Cali-Forn-Ya stuff. No sirreebob, it’s all Chicago style, deep dish extravaganza and there are at least 100 toppings, including foie gras and caviar. Beer is the beverage of the week and it comes in Oktoberfest mugs, which hold about a gallon.

In Week 4, it’s fried everything. You name it…if you can fry it…
you can eat it. The highlight of the week is burgers from a joint in Memphis, where they deep fry your burgers in grease that hasn’t been changed in 80 some years. You just haven’t lived, until you’ve had one of these. The dessert highlight is fried Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. Any cheesecake they make can be fried in beer batter.

From Week 5 on, it’s just rinse and repeat. The extra weight you’ve been carrying will just fall off as you gorge yourself and sleep off each meal. By the end of Week 7 or 8, you should be down 30 pounds or so.

Some wiseacre just had to ask what AFD stood for.

April Fool’s Day.

Because we all know that no diet can be successful if you just keep doing what you’ve always done.

Losing weight…and getting fit and healthy, requires that you make some new lifestyle changes. I’ve always recommended you take one step at a time and gradually phase out the bad choices, in favor of good ones.

Then…before you know it…you have started losing unwanted poundage. And believe me, nobody really wants to carry around that extra flubber, in spite of protestations to the contrary.

Start by getting my Powerhouse Omega Formula. Then start taking it.
It will help you start moving the sludge in your bloodstream out the door. Then stop drinking soda, or eating snack food. Do one thing to help yourself every week and in three months, you’ll have dropped some weight, without a lot of effort.

Then keep going. And every once in a while, treat yourself to one of your old favorites. (Once in a month.) You’re going to get a surprise sometimes…some of that stuff just doesn’t taste that good, after you give it up.

Just don’t let me catch you eating an Elvis sandwich.

I’ll be back tomorrow with more.

With my best wishes for your optimum health,

Dr. Bill
