For a successful journey, make sure that you have all the necessary hunting gear!
Crossbows
This is good for shooting at near and great distances. Just make sure that the crossbow is suitable for your needs and level of expertise. Rifle crossbows are ideal if you have a problem with aiming. Repeating crossbows, on the other hand, are the best choice if you want to shoot at a faster rate. There are more options to choose from so be sure to explore your alternatives.
Blow Gun
Another important addition to your hunting gear would be blow guns. If it comes with laser lights, so much better as this can further improve your aim. When shopping for blow guns, there are several factors you should consider.
Slingshot
Although sling shots can be constructed DIY, it’s better to purchase them for additional safety. Sling shots will serve as your last resort once you’ve run out of projectiles. Be sure to practice your aim and shots so that you won’t end up hurting anyone accidentally.
For shooting range, check for accuracy, velocity, and maximum amount of distance covered. Does it come with a set of darts? Consider its grip. Does it offer a secure hold to avoid accidental discharges? Make sure it also comes with an anti-inhale safety mouthpiece.
Swiss Army Knife
They may be designed for military use but they can also double as a hunting and survival knife. They also come with various other tools that could prove to be handy in all sorts of circumstances.
Clothing
Make sure that you bring the right amount of clothing. Too little choices could end up being hazardous while too many options could be inconvenient to lug around as you trek the woods. Make sure they’re also appropriate for the weather and environment of your hunting ground.
Satellite Phone
Don’t rely on mobile phones and laptops. It’s important to play it as safely as possible so invest in a satellite phone. This will ensure that you’ll get the help whenever and wherever you need it.
Binoculars
How else can you plan for a strategic attack on your target without binoculars? The best models come with an eyeglass-compatible design, multiple and fog-proof lens options, huge and ergonomic viewing frames, waterproof and heavy-duty body armor, and even free gloves, lens covers, and neck straps. These binoculars may be mounted on monopods and tripods.
To be better prepared for your next hunting trip, use a checklist for your gear and equipment.

Crossbows are stock-mounted bows that shoot bolts and primarily used for hunting and target shooting. If you are interested in either field, the first thing you should do is to determine the most suitable type of crossbow for your needs and abilities.
Recurve Crossbow
These have longer draw length compared to ordinary cross bows, which provide reduced hand shock and better acceleration. Using recurved crossbows, however, also produce greater strain on the bow structure itself.
Recurve crossbows are often used by advanced archers, shooters, and hunters. They are also noisy to use and thus require the accompanying use of a bowstring silencer.
Compound Crossbow
There are several variants to a compound crossbow, but all of them basically work the same way. The string of a compound crossbow is attached to a number of pulleys, and which one or several of it are connected by cables to the opposite limb. Upon preparing to take a shot, the string will naturally draw back, which makes the pulleys turn and the cables to move accordingly. The limbs will then bend, thus storing energy for the shot.
These crossbows are characterized by limbs that are stiffer than usual and require greater pressure from the users because of the design. Their structure, however, allows compound crossbows to become more energy efficient than other types of crossbows.
Pistol Crossbows
Pistol crossbows are named so because of their relatively compact size. There are 80lb and 150lb pistol crossbows and other variants.
Rifle Crossbows
These are crossbows primarily designed to provide better aim, just like how rifles perform compared to other guns. Rifle crossbows are one of the most advanced models you can use. A 150lb rifle crossbow, for instance, can come with adjustable sights, foot pull, and heavy-duty fiber construction. It can hit your target as far as 250 feet away. Of course, such power also requires you to possess equivalent strength to launch your shot and cock your bow effectively.
Bullet Crossbows
This type of crossbow is also aptly named because it shoots bullet-looking projectiles made of stone, lead, or clay. Some bullet crossbows come with a string slot and barrel while others have a double string design.
Repeating Crossbows
If you want a shortcut to the entire process of shooting then you should make use of a repeating crossbow. With this type, you only have to make a single movement and everything, from bow stringing, projectile launching, and shooting, will be completed. This way, you’ll be able to shoot at a faster rate than usual.
As crossbows vary according to the amount of energy required from the user, size, acceleration system, and degree of automation, make sure that your choice satisfy your needs in all aspects.

If you want to keep your loved ones stay at home, you need to protect them from dangers within and without using mini spy cameras.
What are Mini Spy Cameras?
Mini spy cameras work just like any ordinary digital camera. They are, however, smaller and may make use of deceptive housing for covert operation. You can use them to monitor the activities of your newly hired nanny or have them activate at night to catch burglars, vandals, and trespassers in the act.
The Different Forms of Mini Spy Cameras
Mini spy cameras come in numerous guises. It’s important to familiarize yourself with all of them in order to use the most appropriate type for every situation.
Keychain Mini Spy Cameras
This type of camera is suitable for daily, on-the-go use. Having a keychain connected to your bag, mobile phone, or just having it inside your pocket at all times is nothing out of the ordinary. Little do they know, however, is that there’s a camera within it and which you can use to capture photographic evidence whenever and wherever it’s necessary.
Even more importantly, they’re simple and quick to operate and no one will have to know that you’ve taken photos if you wish your activities to remain a secret.
Clock Radio
Here’s a stationary mini spy camera that you can place anywhere your home. It will unobtrusively record video footage of the room it’s in and you may be able to configure it to transmit real-time footage to your email. If any emergency comes up, you’ll be able to know exactly when and where it took place and send for help immediately.
Pen Camera
Here’s another item that won’t look out of place if you have it inside your bag or clipped to your shirt pocket at all times. Just one click of this pen and you’ve taken the shot you wanted!
Wired or Wireless
Spy cameras come in wired or wireless systems. Wired systems are more affordable, easier to install, but harder to conceal. Wireless systems are more expensive and require configuration but offer advanced features.
Mini Air-Purifier
Another guise commonly used for mini spy cameras are air purifiers. If you’ve long been known as a health buff then having an air-purifier in your living room won’t raise eyebrows. Even better, air purifiers are not something you have to switch on or off so there are fewer chances of people dabbling with it and accidentally finding out what it’s all about.

Ira Lipman’s book, How to Protect Yourself From Crime, is available now in its 4th edition. You can learn how to avoid different crimes and how to react when you are the victim of one.
If you need more information on how to keep yourself safe from crime, then you will need to borrow, buy, or, if you can, download Ira A. Lipman’s How to Protect Yourself From Crime. Many security experts call it the most complete guide that you can ever get yourself to protect yourself from crime. It is little wonder that this is true: the author of the book is the president of a company that specializes in security services, and is one of the world’s largest.
This guide will allow you to take measures to keep yourself safe; moreover, it gives tips on how you can be safe at home, while you are driving or when you are on the road, while you are working or if you are at work, and while you are away on vacation. Divided into various chapters that concentrate on different locations in your life, the book will give you a glimpse into how vulnerable you actually are to crime, and how you should protect yourself so that you do not fall into the traps that criminals lay.
One such chapter includes instructions on how you can keep your home and belongings secure. Another chapter tackles how you should keep your security even when you are away from home. Because family supersedes these two scenarios, Lipman also counsels on how you can keep high security for your family; and, at a larger scale, how you can be secure in your own community. Because of the rise in violent crimes over the years, Lipman also deals with how you can protect yourself and your family and friends from violent crimes. Another chapter deals with corporate security, which is a big issue with the current economy.
The book has already been revised several times and is currently in its fourth edition. At over four hundred pages long, the book covers sub-topics in the chapters mentioned above, allowing you to understand what kinds of crime you can be the victim of, and how you can prepare yourself so that you can react to them well. Moreover, you are also given tips on how you can avoid being involved in or becoming the victim of a crime.
You can look for the book in your local bookstore or you can also get it through your security products retailer. Keep an updated copy of this book on your bookshelf, and read the book when a new update comes out. This way, you are updated on the different modus operandi that criminals can use to catch you in their trap. You can also constantly remind yourself of what you should do to avoid crime and how to react when it does happen to you.

You can travel safely with a rear view mirror camera with audio. The camera can pick up happenings on the road behind you, which can be advantageous if you have limited vision.
Getting a rear view mirror camera with audio for your car can allow you to travel safely. You have to remember that you can meet accidents on the road, and anything can come at you from all directions. You might find yourself encountering people from the side, and frighteningly, from behind. You may have the ability to focus on the front of your vehicle, and, with some limitations, you can also see and act on anything that comes from the side. But how well can you monitor what is happening behind you so that you can act in time to save yourself, the vehicle, and the rest of the people in your car? What if you were driving a truck that had limited vision?
One good thing about some rear view mirror cameras is that they have audio capability. You can listen to what is going on in the road behind you, and you can anticipate coming cars that might come from behind carelessly, or even trucks that have a limited range of vision and will not be able to see you. There is another thing that you should look for when you get a rear view mirror camera with audio: you might need one that can rotate so that you can see the inside of your car. This can be useful if you have a big car with children in the backseat, and if there is anything precious or expensive the backseat that you need to watch.
If you are going to buy a rear view mirror camera, look for one that has reliable and clear audio. Often, poor audio will have a lot of static that can ruin the noise that you would like to hear; and poor audio could even create sounds that would alert you into hearing something that is not even there. You might also have the option of getting a rear view mirror camera that has recording capabilities. This will allow you to monitor what is happening in your backseat, and you can trace breakage or sources of fights, depending on whether you have baggage or children.
These are only a few things that a rear view mirror cam plus audio can give you while you are on the road. For more information on what a rear view mirror camera plus audio can do, as well as the best bargains on such combos, ask for more information from your camera retailer. Come up with a big selection of brands so that you can select the brand that fits your budget and needs best. You should be able to travel safely, and if a rear view mirror cam plus audio can help you, then you will need to invest in one today.

Because your security guards work for you day and night, you should give them gifts for special occasions to show your gratitude. You can give books, coffee, and gift baskets, to name a few examples.
You should give your security guards gifts. After all, they are the people who watch you and your property day and night. You should be able to show them your gratitude with well-chosen gifts that are as memorable as they are useful. This article contains a few suggestions about what you should give your guards for any special occasion.
First of all, know what your security guards are interested in, and know what their families might want and need. For instance, do your security guards like to read? You can give them useful books, whether fiction or non-fiction, that they can read off the job. This will give them a way to relax when they are not working.
You might also want to give their children or spouses special gifts or tokens to remember you by. For example, give them something to help keep cooked food warm. This can allow your guards to have warm food on the job. When nights grow cold, you can also have sweaters and jackets to give your security guards and their families.
Second, get things to keep your security guard safe. They may leave their duty late and could be put in danger. Give them their own stun guns or portable knives. You may also want to keep your security guards awake and alert, so coffee is a good security guard gift. You may choose to give coffee beans, ground coffee, or even coffee mugs and thermal containers to keep coffee warm.
A gift basket is always a good gift to give. Make sure that you have only the best quality products in your gift basket. A good theme would be gourmet foods, which your security guard can share with his or her family. You may also want to give chocolates or coffee, which can keep a security guard up and alert.
Last, although you might cringe at the thought, money is still a good option. Your security guards may or may not be paid thousands of dollars to do their job, but at the end of the day, they still need to have some cash on hand to make up for their expenses. A few hundreds will be a good gift without you appearing condescending.
These are only a few things that you can get your security guards. Remember, they are the ones who keep you safe and sound, and they deserve to be recognized for their bravery and strength.

Pepper spray use is not to be taken lightly because its effects can be severely harmful. As pepper spray products vary in its composition, its effects similarly vary as well. In any case, victims of pepper spray exposure can suffer from any combination of the effects listed below.
Skin
The first and unavoidable effect of pepper spray exposure is on the victim’s skin. Because pepper spray is, above all things, an inflammatory agent, the victim will experience an excruciating, burning sensation on the affected areas. Skin may also redden, swell, and even blister as a severe complication of pepper spray exposure.
Respiration
Skin is not only the part of your body that is affected when you’re exposed to pepper spray. Respiratory problems may also arise depending on the duration and extent of exposure.
Victims could suffer from bouts of dry cough, gagging, and wheezing. They could experience a burning sensation in their throat and difficulties with breathing and speaking.
If applied nasally, more ill effects follow. The victim could also start sneezing, experience greater irritation in the affected area, and suffer from reflex mucus secretion, which basically means suffering from a runny nose due to pepper spray exposure.
Directly inhaling pepper spray may also result to acute hypertension, which possibly leads to headaches and greater risk of having a heart attack. Other rare and severe respiratory complications include asystole, atrioventricular blockade, bradycardia, systemic vasodilation, apnea, and airway edema and constriction.
It’s important to note that studies suggest chronic low-dose exposure to pepper spray may still make a person suffer from unwanted respiratory effects. Thus, it’s important to limit your exposure to pepper spray as much as possible. If not, you could end up suffering from sneezing, coughing, and rhinorrhea. Skin burning and weight loss may even occur as a result. It’s also possible that you could develop bronchiectasis, pulmonary fibrosis, severe chronic bronchitis, and hemoptysis.
Eyes
Your eyes are arguably the most vulnerable to pepper spray exposure. When directly targeted, they will start to redden, swell, and sting unbearably. Victims will also suffer from blepharospasm, lacrimation, and conjuctival inflammation. Reflex or involuntary closing of eyelids is also possible.
Affected eyes may also suffer from superficial anesthesia and deficient blink reflex, which will then result to inevitable corneal abrasions from contact lenses and other foreign objects.
If the victim is already suffering from certain eye problems (recurrent corneal erosion, keratomalacia, or keratitis) then the effects could be more severe than usual. Suggested treatment for these individuals is a fifteen-minute period of water flushing at a minimum.
Obviously, pepper spray effects are far from trivial so use them wisely.

Although stun guns and Tasers are effective for self-defense, there are several key differences between them that you should know.
You’re better able to protect yourself when you’re comfortable and knowledgeable with the type of self-defense product you’re using. If you are having a hard time choosing between a stun gun and a Taser, here are important things you should know about them.
Rate of Effectiveness
In this aspect, Tasers win hands down over stun guns. Tasers enjoy a 100% effectiveness rate. Even more surprisingly, they actually have better chances of incapacitating your attacker compared to what you’d get when using a 9mm gun and without risking taking anyone’s life.
This self defense product are fairly effective, too, but only on certain types of individuals. If your attacker happens to be high on drugs then he has a temporarily higher immunity rate to the effects of stun guns. Also, there are just a number of individuals who were born less vulnerable to the effects of this tool.
Voltage and Wattage
Stun guns can transmit anywhere between 200,000 to 1,000,000 volts and each blast utilizes 7 to 14 watts. Tasers release 50,000 volts but makes use of up to 18 watts.
At first glance, this product seem to be the better choice but if you want the most effective weapon then you should be aware that greater wattage packs a weightier punch than greater voltage.
Stun guns are designed to send jolts of electricity through nerve endings in your body. Taser does that and more by targeting the muscular skeletal system as well.
Contact
With stun guns, you have to risk getting close to your attacker because they can only work when they’re directly touching the skin of your attacker. With Tasers, however, you could launch a counter attack even at a distance. As long as you’re only fifteen to twenty-one feet away, you should be able to put your attacker out of action with a single blast.
Size
Stun guns are the better choice than Tasers if you want to have the element of surprise in your favor. Although the newer models of Tasers no longer resemble handguns and are more compact, they are still not as easy to conceal as stun guns, which can be as small as three inches in size! Even better, this item also come in a variety of disguises such as mobile phones and other commonly used items.
Price
Finally, for the more budget conscious person, stun guns are affordably priced below $100 while Tasers could cost you a few hundred dollars at the least.
Overall, choosing one or the other is fine as long as you feel safe with using it.

Pepper spray products are great for self-defense because they’re easy and effective to use. In fact, they’re so easy to use that many a person ends up accidentally spraying someone…or themselves.
If a person has been accidentally hurt with pepper spray, here are several things you can do to apply first aid.
No One Panics
Pepper spray may not be harmful but it certainly won’t feel like it to the victim. Pepper spray has an intensely painful effect and it’s likely to cause the victim to panic and then make you panic as well!
Don’t let that happen. You, most especially, must stay calm for the victim’s sake because you’ll be able to move more efficiently when your brain isn’t clouded with hysterics.
Have Someone Call 911
It’s better to be safe than sorry. There have been unconfirmed reports that pepper spray has been the cause of death due to severe allergic reactions. Why risk that when you don’t have to? Have someone call 911 even as you work on giving the victim first aid.
No Rubbing!
Tie the victim’s hands and bind her to a chair so that the contaminated area remains undisturbed. Rubbing the affected area clean of pepper spray won’t put a stop to the pain. It’s only going to make it worse.
Remember: pepper spray is an inflammatory agent. When you try to rub the skin clean of it, you’re only serving to spread the inflammation, which means that more capillaries in the victim’s skin will be subject to the effects of pepper spray.
Apply Antidote
If you happen to have an OC decontamination treatment product with you then apply that directly to the exposed area. If not that then what about milk? Dip a clean towel in milk then gently place it on the affected area.
No milk available? Then use lots and lots of water. Any of that could help with the initial sting but because pepper spray is oil-based, you’ll need to do a lot more. Mix cold water with soap that’s NOT oil-based. Some suggest the use of detergents (again not oil based) so you could try that, too.
Next, dip yourself into the water several times. Afterwards, dip a towel into the same mixture and use it to very gently rub your face clean of the oil. Expect this to hurt so don’t panic if the victim starts reacting again.
From here, you’ll just have to wait. The victim could start feeling better in fifteen to forty-five minutes. If the eyes have been contaminated and the victim is wearing contacts, be sure to have those disposed as early as possible. They’re not worth using after this.

A clock radio nanny camera can allow you to watch what your nanny is doing. Position it in a corner, on a stable surface, and out of anyone’s easy reach.
Having a nanny to take care of your child can be a great way for you to not only relax, but to get yourself time to do other things. It can be stressful to care for a child while doing other things at the same time, so you could hire a good nanny to help you out, even with the other things that you are doing. The problem with this strategy is that you may end up hiring a substandard nanny, or one that appears professional on the outside but is actually your worst nightmare when your back is turned.
To help you watch over your nanny, you can install hidden cameras in your house. You can do this by buying small cameras that you can hook up to your computer for recording, or that can feed footage to an outside source. You may also do this by buying equipment that has hidden cameras installed in them so that you can unobtrusively monitor your nanny without her knowing about what you are doing. One such camera can be bought along with a clock radio, and you can keep this device in the room that you are watching your nanny in.
One good way to position it is to put it in a corner. This gives you a wider angle view of the room, and it will allow you to monitor all sides of the room. The disadvantage to placing the camera on one side of the room is that you may lose a lot of possible footage and space that could be important in how well you monitor the nanny. Another disadvantage is that anything on the sides of a room can be easily knocked over if they are not positioned well. Your nanny could wreck your camera if she tips the clock radio over!
This brings us to the second position. You should position this device at a height so that your nanny cannot easily nudge, move, or reach it. The clock radio should not be too high to make the clock radio itself useless. A clock radio too far from seeing will make the fact that it contains a hidden camera all the more obvious! The clock radio should not be too low so that you capture only people’s feet and have the camera nudged and moved around too often.
Third, and last, put your clock radio on a stable surface. You might want a gadget that has an adjustable camera inside, so that the camera can be moved while the clock radio remains in a stable position. If you can, glue the radio to the surface. Keep the clock radio with a hidden camera lodged between heavy articles such as books, so that your nanny will not be tempted to move it.
These are only a few suggestions that you can use as you install your clock radio hidden camera to monitor your nanny. You cannot trust your child to anyone, so make sure that the person you have at home with you is the most trustworthy one that you can find.
