First Year Away At College-What Your Daughter Needs!

When your daughter first goes away to college, you will no doubt be concerned for her safety. Even if the school is in a seemingly safe area, in a safe city, you will certainly want to make sure that she will be okay. There is this great website with many amazing self protection and self defense items, such as pepper sprays and door braces!

The first thing to order is a door brace, which is a collapsible tube that can be wedged between the door knob and the floor, after the door is closed and locked for the night. This way, even if someone gets the door unlocked, they will not be able to push it open, as the door brace will prevent the opening of the door! The next great item to get is a personal alarm which is a plastic device, the size of a pack of candies. When you pull the pin out of the personal alarm, it begins to make a very loud siren sound that would scare anyone away. Or you can get an electronic whistle that is also battery operated and when the button is pressed it emits a loud sound, usually around 120 or 130 decibels! A personal alarm or an electronic whistle will certainly attract someone’s attention if your daughter ever needed to call for help.

Then the third item that no college co-ed should be without is pepper spray! These are little canisters of a formula made up primarily of hot red pepper, and when sprayed into the face of an attacker, it will cause them enormous discomfort for 20 or 30 minutes. They will feel as though their face is on fire, won’t be able to see, will cough and choke, have difficulty breathing, yet the effects will wear off and the pepper sprays don’t cause any long term harm. It would be great to carry one in the pocket or purse, perhaps a key chain sized, and then have a larger one in the book bag, and even one in a nightstand next to the bed!

If you want to take this a step further, they also have pepper gel, which shoots a stream farther and sticks like glue to the attackers face, and when the thug tries to wipe it from his eyes with his fingers, he will only be grinding the pepper deeper into his eyes thus causing more suffering! Hooray!

Now, hopefully, your daughter will never need to use any of these items, but it is a great idea to have them! A great place where these and countless other self defense items can be ordered is here at: http://www.tbotech.com and you will sleep better knowing that she’s protected.

Choose Happiness!

Most people that are miserable choose to be that way, even though they may not realize it. They will blame their misery on this or that, but really, the thing that they are blaming for their misery is probably something beyond their control, but they don’t have to let it bother them. Sometimes in life you just have to learn to live with something being the way that it is, particularly if you can not change it. The things that can be changed should be, but it often requires time and patience to make the necessary changes. If we are too impatient this could add to the feelings of misery.

Many times folks will lose sleep over something that is NOT a big deal, but they make it a big deal in their mind. Maybe we have to just continually learn to “let things go,” because there are many annoyances in life that we may not be happy about, but we don’t have to let them make us miserable. When it is someone else behaving this way, we can certainly see it, but when it is “us” we sometimes fail to see that it’s an overly dramatized situation.

So, today’s advice is to choose happiness. It’s much better to be happy than to be sad, and if you don’t believe ME just ask any five year old.

Ivanka Trump in Chicago

Last week I had the chance to spend some time learning from some of the greatest marketers of today in Chicago.

I had never been in a room with so many millionaires before and listening to them speak and being able to learn from them was certainly an awesome opportunity for me.

One of the highlights was listening to Donald Trump’s daughter, Ivanka. She is an extraordinary person and an example for anyone to emulate.

I also had the opportunity to take a picture with her and I jumped on the chance.
