Many security companies will receive an alarm and try to call you to verify that someone is actually breaking into your home. If you don&#039;t answer, they will often just dispatch the police without knowing whether the alarm is false or not.

If you can find a company that offers audio or video verification of a break in then you will have no false alarm worries when you are on vacation. The companies will have the ability to watch or listen in live to what is going on in your home and can determine if a break in is actually taking place without having to call you while you are on vacation and likely unable to answer.</description>

		<description>Thanks for the tips.  I would expand on your lighting suggestion ... in addition to giving neighbors the ability to see, let them know you need them to be on the watch.  Build relationships with your neighbors, get involved in the community and watch out for each other.</description>
