Victory for the 2nd Amendment

Major ruling in favor of the Second Amendment. The Supreme Court has voted in favor of supporting the 2nd Amendment. This major case affirms the individuals right to keep and bear arms for self defense.

The Fox News Story concerning the 2nd Amendment Ruling

Common sense prevails in allowing people to protect themselves. Being able to protect yourself from criminals who mean to do you harm seems a basic right of anyone no matter where you live.

In a dissent he summarized from the bench, Justice John Paul Stevens wrote that the majority “would have us believe that over 200 years ago, the Framers made a choice to limit the tools available to elected officials wishing to regulate civilian uses of weapons.”

What?! Is he saying that the framers were thinking of limiting rights to individuals by empowering government officials? That judge should take a Government class at any local high school. The Constitution and Bill of Rights were written for the People, not some government official.

Supreme Court and The 2nd Amendment

Huge case before the Supreme Court concerning the 2nd Amendment will be decided tomorrow. It will have lasting effects on everyone in America one way or the other. The case involves Washington DC’s extreme restrictions on firearms and who’s outcome has been eagerly awaited.

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

Our constitution already guarantees our right to keep and bear arms. However, there’s controversy about the “right of the people” and a “well regulated militia”. Which does the 2nd Amendment refer to and protect? Sounds like both to me.

Most would agree to keeping guns out of the hands of criminals. It seems what’s being decided is whether or not ONLY criminals will be the ones having guns after this decision. If guns become illegal for everyone, then only criminals will have them. Law abiding persons will not have the means to protect themselves against armed criminals.

Anyway, as a person involved everyday in self defense, I am very anxiously awaiting this decision as I’m sure millions of you are as well.

Stun Gun in Movie

I watched a movie last night where the bad guy was subduing people with a stun gun and then putting their deaths on the internet for all to see. I forget the name of the movie right now but at least 3 different times, a stun gun was used on someone to incapacitate the victim.

I alway find it cool when Hollywood uses one of our products in their movies. I’d rather they did it in a self defense context though. Our self defense products are for just that: self defense. Using a stun gun (or anything else for that matter) as an offensive weapon will get you in serious trouble. So don’t do something stupid just because you seen it in a movie.

Mini Stun Baton

We have a new mini stun baton available now. Stun Batons have always been popular because of their long reach. Keeping some distance between you and an attacker is much better than getting into a wrestling match, especially if the person is much bigger than you or is crazed on some substance.

Security guards and bouncers now have a baton that delivers much need mega voltage and extends the reach of their arms. This mini version adds just a bit of reach without being overly clumsy.

The new mini stun baton is only 10 1/2 inches in length and packs 1,000,000 volts of power to fend off an attacker.

Camping Trip

Just got back from an overnight camping trip. Had a good time and the kids even caught a fish. About a foot long bass. Had to throw it back though because this pond was catch and release. Next time we go, we will go to the big lake and catch us some dinner!

Even during camping, you have to think about security. Make sure your vehicle is locked and if you have a camper like we did, make sure the doors are locked too. A door knob alarm will awake you and everyone else if someone tries to open your door in the middle of the night. Just hang it on the doorknob on the inside of your camper and sleep peacefully. Great inexpensive security alarm.
