New Product Announcement – The Fake TV
When a burglar is scoping out a home, they will usually go after one they think is unoccupied. Inside activity tells the burglar that someone’s there and are doing something. A smart burglar (and I’m certainly not saying burglars are smart) would move on to the next home where they feel they won’t get caught.
The Fake TV emits a spectrum of lights that very accurately simulates a TV being on. Looking at the light from outside the home, you would never guess that a real TV was not being used. Color fades to new scenes, brightness and darkness, and even breaks for commercials are all accurately simulated just like a real TV would do.
When I received a sample Fake TV, I took it home and set it up that night. From the outside, everyone thought that the TV was left on. It even has a timer to turn itself on at dusk and run for a preset number of hours. Pretty cool device.
